Rugby fan Andy Savory is planning to convert even more business inquiries into sales for a Coventry double glazing company.
The 35-year-old Leicester Tigers supporter, who has been in the industry for 10 years, has joined Holbrooks-based double glazing company U-fit.co.uk as general manager from a windows firm in Portsmouth.
U-fit was set up eight years ago by husband and wife team John and Ann Armstrong and specialises in manufacturing conservatories for customers to fit themselves It has enjoyed phenomenal growth and aims to boost its £3.2 million turnover by more than half by April 2005.
Mr Savory, who lives in Leicester with his partner and three children, said: “U-fit has got great prospects and is expanding. It’s a very modern plant with all the latest technology so it is right up there with the big boys.”
Mr Armstrong, managing director of the company, said: “It’s great to get Andy on board to help organise and streamline production to take U-fit onwards and upwards.”
